RouteRewindPro is a local-first app. Your privacy is fundamental to how it works.

Data We Collect

RouteRewindPro records journey data — including GPS route coordinates, photos, and video you choose to attach — entirely on your device. This data is never transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.

Information stored on-device

Location data: GPS coordinates recorded during active journeys, used to render route replays and animations.
Photos and videos: Media you attach to journeys or montages.
App preferences: Settings such as map style, feedback toggles, and units.
Stats: Aggregated journey statistics (distance, duration, elevation) derived from your recorded routes.

This on-device data remains on your phone under your control. It is not backed up to any cloud service by us.

Data We Do Not Collect

We do not require an account or login.
We do not collect personal information such as your name, email, or phone number.
We do not track your behaviour across other apps or websites.
We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Map Tiles

The app displays maps using third-party tile providers (MapTiler and OpenStreetMap). When you view a map, your device requests map imagery from these providers. These requests may include your approximate location (in the form of map tile coordinates) and standard device information (IP address, user agent). This is governed by the respective providers’ privacy policies:

When you choose to export a reel, montage, or summary card, or share content to another app, that content leaves your device through the channel you selected. We do not control third-party apps or services you share to.

Data Storage & Security

All journey data is stored locally on your device using the app’s secure local storage. We recommend using your device’s built-in backup (iCloud / Google) if you wish to preserve your data. Uninstalling the app will permanently delete all locally stored data.

Children’s Privacy

RouteRewindPro is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

Your Rights

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have full control:

Access: View your data anytime within the app.
Deletion: Delete individual journeys or all data by uninstalling the app.
Export: Export your journeys and media at any time.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted to this page with an updated revision date.
