Terms of Service for RouteRewindPro

By downloading, installing, or using RouteRewindPro (“the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

1. Overview

RouteRewindPro is a local-first app that records your journeys — including GPS route data, photos, and videos you choose to attach — and lets you replay, edit, and share them as reels, montages, and summary cards. These Terms govern your use of the App.

2. Your Account

RouteRewindPro does not require an account, login, or registration. Your identity is stored locally on your device. You are responsible for maintaining access to your device and for any activity performed using it.

3. Your Content

You retain full ownership of all journey data, photos, videos, captions, and other content you create or upload in the App (“Your Content”).

Your Content is stored locally on your device unless you explicitly choose to export or share it.
You are solely responsible for Your Content and for ensuring you have the right to record, store, and share it.
You agree not to use the App to create, store, or share content that is unlawful, infringes others’ rights, or violates any applicable law.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the App in a way that violates any local, national, or international law.
Record or share content without the consent of those who may be identifiable in it.
Use the App while operating a vehicle in a manner that distracts from safe driving. Always follow local laws regarding device use while driving.
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise derive source code from the App.
Use the App for any commercial routing, navigation, or fleet-tracking service without separate authorisation.

5. Safety

RouteRewindPro is a tool for recording and reliving your journeys. It is not a turn-by-turn navigation system and must not be relied upon for real-time navigation, emergency routing, or any safety-critical purpose. Always use your own judgement and follow official signage and directions. Do not interact with the App while driving if it is unsafe or illegal to do so.

6. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party map tiles (including OpenStreetMap contributors and MapTiler) to render map backgrounds. These services are provided “as is” and may be subject to their own terms. We do not control and are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party map data.

7. In-App Purchases

If the App offers premium features via in-app purchase, any such purchase is governed by the platform’s terms (Apple App Store or Google Play Store). Refunds are handled by the respective platform. Premium features are granted as a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use those features within the App for as long as they are offered.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that:

The App will be available, accurate, or uninterrupted at all times.
GPS recordings will be perfectly accurate or complete.
Map data will be current or correct for your location.
Exported media will be free of defects.

Your use of the App is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, RouteRewindPro and its authors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, journey recordings, or media, arising out of or related to your use of the App — including any data loss resulting from device failure, app uninstall, or OS updates.

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you are responsible for backing up Your Content. We recommend exporting important journeys regularly.

10. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may discontinue the App or any of its features at any time without notice. Upon termination, all locally stored data remains on your device until you remove it.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of your country of residence, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
